1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including email address, name, date of birth, and zodiac sign. We also automatically collect usage data such as tarot reading history, push notification tokens, IP addresses, device information, and browser type when you use our service.
Birth Data
To chart your energetic map, the Oracle may ask you for three things: your date of birth (needed to create your account) and, entirely optional, your hour and city of birth. If you give us the city, we derive its coordinates and its time zone from it — nothing more.
What we use them for. Only for the calculations of your chart: your sign, your Saju pillars, and — with the hour and the city — your ascendant and the adjustment of your hour to the sun of your birthplace. This data feeds your personalized readings and nothing outside them.
What we do not do. We do not share your birth data with third parties, nor do we use it for advertising. City search runs on our own atlas inside our server: your birth city is never sent to external map services.
Your control. The hour and the city are always optional: you can skip them, mark "I don't know it", add them later, or delete them whenever you want from your profile. If you delete them, your readings simply return to a less detailed level — you never lose access to anything.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and personalize the Mystic Tarot service, generate AI-powered tarot readings tailored to your profile, send push notifications you have opted into, and analyze usage patterns to improve the service. We do not use your data for automated decision-making that significantly affects you.
3. Information Sharing
We share your data only with trusted service providers: Supabase for authentication and database storage, Anthropic for AI-powered reading generation, Paddle for payment processing, Google Analytics for usage analysis, and Vercel for hosting. Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyze how you use our service. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling certain cookies may affect service functionality. We use Google Analytics for anonymized usage statistics.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may also request a portable copy of your data or restrict how we process it. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@mystictarot.com or use the account settings within the app.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Reading history is kept to power the insights and history features of the service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication via Supabase, and strict access controls to protect your personal data. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Mystic Tarot is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. Parents who believe their child has provided data should contact us immediately.
9. International Data Transfers
Mystic Tarot is operated from South Korea. By using our service, you consent to the transfer of your information to South Korea and to other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the service after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
